A bit out of territory… This picture is from a recent trip to Devon. The ghostly web across this hedge is the work of the Ermine Moth Caterpillar. Apparently it’s a good year for Ermine Moths – though I guess this depends if you’re a tree! See this BBC News article about what happens when an Ermine Moth infestation gets serious!
