Early Purple Orchids, South Downs

A clump of Early Purple Orchids. Now I’m no orchid specialist — and at the risk of boring everyone to sleep — these Early Purples didn’t have patterned or blotchy leaves… which of course might have made them Green Winged Orchids… However I’m assured they are indeed Early Purples, just with unusually plain leaves!
