Oak and stubble

South Downs mist at Heyshott

Another magical autumn morning on The South Downs.

At first glance it’s an oak tree in a field of stubble. But look closely at the background and you’ll see the mist swirling around the north facing scarp of Heyshott Down. What a wonderful moment at my favourite time of the year.
