Hello from Bepton…
I’m lucky enough to live in the village of Bepton, at the foot of the South Downs near Midhurst in West Sussex. It’s a wonderful place to live, work and visit and the area is remarkably unspoilt and delightful place to explore.
We blog with ramblings and random thoughts about the village of Bepton and the surrounding area including Didling, Cocking, Midhurst and the Severals, the nearby South Downs, Chichester and the West Sussex coast. Mostly about nature, the environment, history, heritage, food, events and just about anything else that catches our eye!

Hi. My nan grandad and uncle used to live in Bepton on bugshill lane and work for cowdray. We are hoping to visit in the summer. Can you tell me if you can still walk from opposite Bepton road (where it meets bugshill lane) to the south downs way?
Hello I am SO sorry for not replying earlier! I completely missed your comment on my blog and I suspect you’ve already visited Bepton and I hope you had a good time! Yes the path at the end of Bepton Road is still there with a small parking area. Best wishes.
Hi – I am sorry to say but our beautiful Severals East and West is yet again under the threat of a quarry. This time actively being promoted by Cowdray and a contractor is in place. This is part of the WSCC soft sand review. Please see http://www.bepton.org for up to date information.
We have formed a pressure group and are actively against this but all support is needed.
