Swarms of bees look pretty dangerous but the first thing to say is don’t worry! They’re pretty docile and if you treat them with respect you’ll have nothing to worry about. Watch them and admire them – when bees swarm it’s one of nature’s little miracles!
This lovely lady has been in our garden most of the day. Which is pretty incredible when you consider how far she’s travelled!
Ok – so this is a RUBBISH photo, BUT it was taken on my iPhone WHILST I was running down the garden to take the picture!
Most often known for its striking red, black and white colour, the underside of teh Red Admiral butterfly is equally beautiful.
Now I’m quite pleased with this! For two reasons… Firstly I’ve created a home-made nest for our feathered friends and secondly my lighting cables (which were never installed to be photographed) look quite neat!
I’ve been enjoying some interesting visitors in the garden this week. Just outside my study window I’ve got a bunch of bird feeders – which can be a bit of a welcome distraction!
OK! So there’s been lots of commotion outside our house this week. There’s been a series of fights and a lot of noise. And the outcome is a squatter has moved into one of the House Martin’s nests!
Toad lives in our garden and she’s great at keeping the slugs under control.
Crikey! Just take a look at what we found in amongst the roses this afternoon! A huge swarm of bees…
